Congratulations to Barbara Craig who was the winner of Leona Connolly’s Captain’s Prize on Saturday last. This was Barbara’s second time to win Captain’s Prize. Weather conditions were difficult but in a very tight finish four golfers shared the same score with Barbara posting the winning score. Lady Captain Leona Connolly had a beautiful array of prizes for her Captain’s Day and had also arranged for musical entertainment at the Dinner and after the prize-giving. She thanked all in the club who had given her tremendous assistance including David Robinson Club professional, Terence McShea and the greens staff,  Kay McGowan President, Mark Crawford Men’s Captain and men’s Committee, staff who provided catering in the Clubhouse, the  Ladies Committee who had helped in many ways and the Great Northern Hotel for their excellent catering. Earlier in the week the Lady Captain had kindly sponsored prizes for the Junior Girls, The Ladies Beginners, the Mixed Scramble and the Men’s Branch.
